POZOR the second vs another
Často překládáme druhý ve významu jiný do angličtiny řadovou číslovkou, což je chyba the second znamená druhý v pořadí, ve výčtu atd. The other znamená druhý = jiný.
One boy is my son the other one is his friend (ten druhý, který stojí vedle) (nelze použít the second!!)
He lives on the second floor. Bydlí ve druhém patře.
The first drink is mine, the second is yours and the third is for her. První pití je mé, druhé tvé a třetí je pro ni.
